Hunting boomerangs were much larger than 2 metres , the boomerangs we throw for fun today. Aboringinal people now use boomerangs for fun, so when you throw the boomerang it will come back to you. Sciencetist know that hunting boomerangs won't come back. They are too heavy and killing animals are illegal in Australia (unless there are pests).
